Jolene Philo

Jolene Philo discovered Encyclopedia Brown in fourth grade and has been in love with mysteries ever since. She’s a voracious reader of fiction, biography, and creative non-fiction. Imagine her surprise when she became the author of several non-fiction books for the special needs and disability community.

The West River Mysteries mark her return to two things she loves––cozy mysteries and northwest South Dakota, where she and her husband Hiram lived for seven years when they were much younger than they are now.

She blogs about writing at her website, www.jolenephilo.com and about caregiving at www.DifferentDream.com.

Jolene and Hiram live in central Iowa with their daughter, son-in-law, and their two children. Jolene instills book love into her grandchildren by reading to them as often as she can.
